Dr Philip Wong
Philip is the Managing General Practitioner and owner of Hataitai Medical Practice. He joined the practice in 1990 and took full management in 2004.
Philip graduated from Otago Medical School in 1984. Following medical posts in Sydney, Hong Kong and Singapore, he subsequently trained in General Practice in Wellington.
His special interest within the scope of General Practice is Dermatology.
He is a car enthusiast and a fitness fanatic into trail running and mountain biking.

Practice Manager Janice
Janice is the co-owner and Practice Manager of Hataitai Medical Practice. She is married to Philip.
Janice has a background in the travel and banking industry prior to joining the practice.
As the practice manager, she leads the team with diligence and care and was integral in helping the practice achieve Cornerstone Accreditation in 2014.
She makes it her business to keep the all-important engine room of the practice happy and healthy.
Dr Kristy Chong
Dr Kristy Chong, after 14 years with our longstanding practice has left the shores of New Zealand and moved back to Australia.
We wish her well with the next chapter in her medical career and we hope she comes back to visit us frequently.
Nurse Karen
Nurse Karen joined the practice as a locum nurse. She has many years of nursing experience under her belt. Karen moved to practice nursing for life balance and has not looked back.
In her spare times she enjoys cooking, wine tasting and gardening!
RECEPTIONIST AISLYN
SAY HELLO TO NEW GAL AISLYN (pronounced Aze-Lin)
AISLYN has joined us from the South Island where she has completed a Commerce Degree with a major in Marketing & Tourism.
She is the friendly smile and safe pair of hands behind HMP reception. She is learning the ropes and enjoying the challenge. She is keen to get life experiences under her belt in readiness for the next step life might throw at her!
In her spare time she likes to read books, going for long walks, dining out or watching movies.
